Privacy and cookies policy

1. Controller and contact

The controller is the individual operating Comfort Ride: Paweł Ciołko. For privacy enquiries contact kontakt@comfortride.pl.

2. Enquiries and rides

We process the phone number or email, pickup and destination you provide, and optional travel date, passenger count, luggage details and correspondence to answer and arrange or provide a ride (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Other correspondence is handled in our legitimate interest in responding (Article 6(1)(f)). Data is voluntary, but a route and contact details are necessary for an enquiry. The form sends your request to our email inbox. Please do not include health data, identity document numbers or other unnecessary information.

3. Security and recipients

Hosting, email and IT service providers handle data needed to operate the website and deliver enquiries. Server logs may include IP addresses, request times, URLs and browser information. The form uses a hash of the IP address and attempt times to limit spam within a 15-minute window. Security and establishing or defending claims are our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)). Data may be disclosed to authorities where legally required.

4. Retention

We retain enquiries until correspondence, arrangements or the ride are completed. Data needed for claims is retained until the applicable limitation period ends; legally required records are retained for the statutory period. Technical data is kept as needed for security and investigating incidents. Withdrawing consent stops further activation of the optional service in this browser; contact us about deleting previously collected data.

5. Cookies and your choice

Optional services remain off until consent. The localStorage entry comfortride-consent-v1 stores the version, date and your statistics and maps preferences for 180 days, including a refusal. After expiry, a new choice is required. This essential entry only remembers preferences and can be removed in your browser.

Change or withdraw consent anytime: Cookie settings. Declining does not prevent browsing, calling, emailing or using the enquiry form. Withdrawing consent for a running service reloads the page and may discard unsent form data.

6. Google Analytics

With statistics consent (Article 6(1)(a)), Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, measures visits and interactions using browser identifiers, device, page and event information. Our custom events exclude contact details, route addresses and form text. Google Signals and ad personalization are disabled; advertising consents stay denied. The _ga and _ga_YMX2D53L2E cookies distinguish browsers and sessions; we set a maximum lifetime of 180 days without automatic renewal. Declining or withdrawing removes accessible Analytics cookies. The Google Analytics tag does not load before consent.

7. Google Maps

Separate, optional consent (Article 6(1)(a)) enables Google Maps Platform. Google receives your IP address, browser information and addresses entered for suggestions or route calculations, and may use its own cookies or browser storage under its policy. Maps features are subject to the Google Maps terms and Google privacy policy. Without consent, request a quote by phone or enquiry form. Calculator prices are estimates; we confirm bookings and prices individually. No solely automated decisions with legal effects are made.

8. WhatsApp and international transfers

Opening a WhatsApp link takes you to WhatsApp Ireland Limited’s service, governed by its own policy. Browsing our site does not activate WhatsApp. Google and WhatsApp may process data outside the EEA, including the USA, under the transfer safeguards described in their policies, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses. 9. Your rights

Subject to GDPR conditions, you may access, correct, erase, restrict or transfer your data and object to legitimate-interest processing.
